This version is the demo prototype, created in 2 weeks for Pirate Software’s Game Jam 15. The theme was “shadows and alchemy”.

I decided to interpret the theme fairly literally and attempted to make a puzzle game where the player gains PowerUps by combining different lighting, and avoids the negative effects by staying in shadows (although there is a bug preventing this that I couldn't squash in time sadly).

Prior to this jam, I had never used Godot before and underestimated how long the coding and asset modification would take!

In its current form, the game is playable, however it is missing a lot of the interactable objects I would have wanted to add (pushable objects like crates / mine carts, a NPC that chases the player, keys and locked doors, switches to control the prison bars etc).
